LORE (Linkage to Outreach Referrals and Engagement)

The Linkage to Outreach Referrals and Engagement (LORE) pilot project aims to address the opioid and stimulant overdose crisis in Iowa by utilizing trained and certified Peer Recovery Coaches (PRCs). These Peer Recovery Coaches conduct outreach services and linkages to care through community referral partnerships for people at risk for opioid or stimulant related overdoses. The Linkage to Outreach Referrals and Engagement (LORE) program works with local partners such as hospitals/emergency departments, Emergency Medical Services (EMS)/first responders, and other community agencies call the Linkage to Outreach Referrals and Engagement (LORE) referral line if they identify an individual who has experienced or is at risk for an opioid or stimulant overdose. Individuals can also make a self-referral.

The Linkage to Outreach Referrals and Engagement (LORE) Program is located remotely at 311 Irving Street, in the heart of the City to reduce the barrier of access.
